Our Design and Build Process
12 Steps Towards Your Dream Home
Step 1. Fill Out Our Form
Call us or fill out our form and describe your ideas as best as you can. Don’t forget to include a few pictures as well, so that we can fully understand your vision.
Step 2. Phone Consultation
We’ll get back to you with a phone consultation to talk more about your needs and ideas. Next, we’ll schedule an in-home consultation to further discuss the details of your project. The home consultation has a $300 fee, which will be considered as a deposit toward your final payment if you choose to work with us.
Step 3. In-Home Consultation
We’ll come to your place and completely assess the space you want to transform. We’ll take measurements and discuss the budget, timeline, and materials needed to get your project started. Based on your job we will come up with an estimated project cost.
Step 4. Signing The Design & Development Contract
When everything is set, we’ll create and sign a design contract. This contract will cover the cost of the design and development of the process. The design work represents a 10% fee of the total estimated project. This fee will be considered as a deposit toward your final payment as well if you choose to work with us.
Step 5. Design Phase
After the contract is signed, we’ll start designing your space. This is where you’ll have the opportunity to see how your home is going to look before any work starts. You will be working with our designers picking out cabinets, countertops tile, flooring. Basically, every detail that will be in your new space. If you need to change or add anything, feel free to let us know and we’ll make sure it is exactly what you want. At the end of this part in the process we will be able to put together an exact total job cost. You will own your designs and plans at this point.
Step 6. Signing the Construction Contract
To move forward with your design, we will sign a construction contract. We’ll make sure it includes the exact pricing schedule, work schedule, and other specifics. Before we get to work, we’ll have a walkthrough to inform you about the following steps so that you know what to expect.
Step 7. Protect Your Home
Before we start any demolition, construction, or remodeling work, we’ll make sure the home’s structure is safe. We’ll also seal and protect the areas of your home that won’t be in the project’s scope. This ensures the dust, dirt, or debris is kept to a minimum while we work on your space.
Step 8. We Get To Work
While we work our magic on your home, owner Jeff will check on the quality of your project’s daily achievements. We’ll keep you updated and informed about everything happening in your home.
Step 9. Cleaning Done By Professionals
When our work is complete, we bring in our professional cleaning team. They’ll make sure your home is ready for you to use right away. After they’re done, you won’t even know we were there.
Step 10. Post-Job Walkthrough
Before we leave, we’ll do a final walkthrough together to make sure everything looks exactly the way you want. Take note of any punch-list items that need to be addressed. Collect final payment which will include the home consultation fee of $300 and the design and development 10% fee.
Step 11. 5-Year Warranty
Enjoy peace of mind with our 5-year labor warranty, and you’ll always have the manufacturer’s warranty available on the premium products that we use. No matter what comes up during this time, reach out to us so that we can see about fixing it free of charge.
Step 12. Follow-Up
We want to make sure that you enjoy your new place for as long as possible. We’ll check in with you after 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months to make sure everything is as it should be. We’ll also have a 12-month follow-up visit to see if there’s anything more, we can help you with.
